Instead he issues an ultimatum—give him her sexual submission, or go to jail.
Backed into a corner by a man with no shame, Kayla must find the strength to travel down the path of pain and pleasure. But when her past catches up to her, prompting a free fall into forbidden territory with a man she once loved, Kayla realizes nothing is black and white when everyone around her has secrets.

Only Kayla never expects him to infiltrate her heart so effortlessly, and she never dreamed there would come a day when he wouldn’t want her.
Gage believes she’s committed the ultimate sin, but will she use his mistake to finally escape the cage of his obsession? Or will she do whatever it takes to make him see he can entrust his heart to her…just as she’s already lost the core of her being to him?

MY TAKE
I WILL HAVE SPOILERS NO GETTING AROUND IT!!!
I don't even know where to start with this...well ok... lets start from the beginning, that's logical right? So I will start by saying that I got the first book free on kindle ... so... I started reading it, and WOW! this is some hard core shit right here! I'm not one that offends easily so I'm just gonna say, this book is not for the faint of heart. This book is not about some people who dabble in BDSM, and then find a soft spot in the alpha male... oh hell no! Gage!... he is an asshole! I spent most of my time reading this book being pissed off at him for being an asshole.. then found myself pissed off at my husband because well for lack of better words, was being an asshole (NOTHING like Gage) LOL but he paid the price for Gage's assholyness I'm sure... (YES! I like to make words up, haven't you people figured this out yet? HAHAHA) He is just plain mean, I kept thinking to myself, but I kept reading thinking there must be light at the end of this tunnel... the happily ever after I crave. So, I kept reading. Then I am thinking, what the hell is wrong with Kayla that she keeps taking this crap, and God she likes it, or maybe she doesn't, maybe more like needs it. She has this precious daughter that she adores, and has health issues and like any normal loving mother, you would do ANYTHING to save your baby... anything including stealing and getting involved with a sadistic asshole who has the money to save her. As I finished the first book and found myself buying the second book, desperate to find out what makes these two tick. I found that Gage does have some sweetness in him especially where Kayla's daughter is concerned. I also came to the conclusion that there is some serious chemistry between them. THEEENNN Mr. Asshole appeared again, in a BIG way. Gage is convinced that Kayla cheated with Ian who turned out to be his BROTHER! WHAAAA???!! and is just hateful and mean and will not listen to reason. She has found out she is pregnant, and Gage goes apeshit crazy! Convinced that it is not his baby, it MUST be Ian's...he says terrible hurtful things, and ultimately she loses the baby. The craziness continues and finally, FINALLY she breaks some kind of barrier that is around his heart and finds out why he has this need to punish her, but loves her at the same time. Its revealed that Ian's father was terribly brutal with Gage, while Ian was the golden child, but he has some secrets too.
Now there is a semi happy ending to these books, and what I mean by this is that it is a happy ending but not with all the normal fluff, so to speak. This book is dark, and she says that in the description. So if you need the fluff, for sure do NOT read this book. But if you can look past it, give it a whirl. If you are looking for a new sadistic twist to you BDSM reading log, this is the book you are looking for. I did not hate this book...LOL I wouldnt say I loved it either. God I found myself very emotional when reading it. Mostly pissed, but there were some other emotions as well, buy yea, mostly pissed off I'd say. Anyway I guess I have to do a rating now... and I am completely torn because I wanted to hate it for being pissed off so much LOL but I just dont so I think I have to go with a 3 Star rating.. I didnt hate it but I was intrigued by it and I really kinda liked the story and the darkness of it didnt really scare me away... so yea... 3 Stars
